Reusing steam valve water by cooling it down: from 90 degrees to 40 degrees – are there any good methods or equipment for this?
The best approach is to use a shell-and-tube heat exchanger or a plate heat exchanger to preheat the material that needs to be heated, thereby also achieving the purpose of cooling it – killing two birds with one stone.
Thank you for your reply. The key issue now is that there’s nothing to preheat; with the steam valve water being reused, how can cooling be achieved? Please offer your guidance, experienced senior
A temperature reducer composed of tube-and-plate exchangers can be used to achieve this
Without a cooling medium, air cooling is the only option.
