What are the fractionation tower and stripping tower in a hydrogenation unit? What’s the difference between the two?
Hydrogen sulfide stripping tower and distillation tower: one for stripping hydrogen sulfide, the other for separating products
Actually, the two are the same; it’s just called by different names
I was still puzzled before; now I understand. The hydrogen sulfide stripping tower and the distillation tower – one is used to strip hydrogen sulfide, while the other is used to separate the products
The stripping tower removes hydrogen sulfide, along with small amounts of ammonia and some water, from the products of the hydrogenation reaction, while the distillation tower separates the gasoline components from the diesel components in those same reaction products.
