Classification of shielded pumps

This post was last edited by yxmqh on 2010-2-1 at 16:53. Is a shielded pump a type of pump classified based on its sealing performance? Can a shielded pump have a piston inside, or can it use a diaphragm or be of centrifugal type?
Shielded pumps are classified based on their sealing mechanism; theoretically, they can be reciprocating, diaphragm, or centrifugal types. But apart from the centrifugal type, I’ve never heard of any other types. On the other hand, I think diaphragm pumps are used when the medium is toxic or harmful – so if everything is already shielded, why use a diaphragm? It’s just expensive~ Hehe
All the shielded pumps of various sizes I have come across are of the centrifugal type; I really have never seen any other type of shielded pump.
Shielded pumps are a category of centrifugal pumps; there are no such things as reciprocating or diaphragm types； If classification is necessary, it can be said to be divided into single-stage and multi-stage types; furthermore, based on their bearing monitors, they can be categorized as mechanical or electromagnetic. It can also be classified into ordinary type, high-temperature type, mud type, etc., based on the temperature and type of the medium it operates in.
Firstly, the characteristics of canned pumps dictate that they must be centrifugal, as the rotor of a canned pump must rotate. When the stator coils are energized, the rotor rotates through induction.
A canned motor pump is also known as a sealless pump. It integrates the impeller with the motor rotor and immerses them in the liquid to be transported, unlike conventional centrifugal pumps which are mostly connected to the motor via a coupling. There are many types of shielded pumps; classified by the type of working impeller, they include centrifugal and vortex types, among others ； Classified by the number of working impellers, there are single-stage and multi-stage types ； Based on the arrangement of its motor and pump shaft, it comes in vertical and horizontal types.
