We added a filter screen between the two flanges, as well as winding gaskets, but the sealing effect was not good. Later, a technician used a white, soft filler that resembled noodles; by shaping it into a ring and then connecting the two flanges with it, the sealing improved significantly. Has anyone used such a filler before? What’s your name?

It’s just a regular instrument union winding packing, the kind that is kept on hand for routine maintenance
2# *aoye613 I’ve seen pictures of asbestos rope on Baidu; what I saw was different – it broke easily when pulled, and instead of being made up of multiple strands twisted together like ordinary asbestos rope, it was just a single strand. Just like noodles, it feels very similar to raw tape material
