Storage tanks are generally cylindrical in shape, so circular foundations should be used primarily. From my experience, the foundations of storage tanks are mostly circular, with few exceptions. Therefore, in my opinion, regardless of whether it is acidic or alkaline, the foundation should be designed based on the shape of the storage tank.
