The company needs to renew its ASME certification this year. I’m not sure what to make of the letter from ASME: It is recommended that renewal applications, fees, and review deposits be received at least five months before the expiration date in order to ensure that the renewal process can be completed before the certificate expires. In other words, it is suggested to submit the renewal application, along with the necessary fees, at least five months before the certificate becomes invalid, so that the renewal process can be finished before that date. Actually, the original poster is mostly correct, but the term \"eligible\" wasn’t translated. The word \"stuff\" in \"Staff extension\" refers to certificates (or authorizations). A more complete translation of the sentence would be: In order to be eligible for a staff extension of expiration date, the renewal application, fees and review deposit must be received at least three months before the expiration date.
Still can’t figure out what ‘staff’ means here?
staff= ASME staff. Isn’t it necessary to have ASME personnel to extend the certificate? before the expiration date – before the due date; “before it expires” sounds odd. -----------------------------For reference only!
