A few days ago, there was a problem with the packing seal of the reactor mixer in our company’s acetic acid production facility, so it was decided to shut down the plant for repairs. However, since the necessary spare parts had to be imported from Germany, there was no other choice but to borrow one from the Wujing facility in Shanghai. I heard that such parts cost hundreds of thousands of yuan… I really can’t understand why a simple sealing ring needs to be imported from Germany Can’t it be produced domestically? Funny
Our factory has encountered similar issues as well; we use equipment imported from Germany, and there is a tar-sealed gasket for which domestic substitutes do not work. China is making rapid progress now, but there are still some technologies that lag behind those in other countries; this requires our joint efforts.
The agitator packing seal is a critical component; domestic ones are not suitable for use, and the same applies to other devices as well.
It’s mainly the technical aspects that are inadequate! There are still many domestic manufacturers of gaskets! But many of them are of poor quality! It’s worth spending some money on key parts of critical equipment to ensure peace of mind!
**Full support should be given to a few large enterprises in carrying out technological breakthroughs; we must rely on our own capabilities and not rely on foreign products for everything – it only works once, and we’ve never seen such a situation before.
Our company specializes in imported seals from Germany, focusing on seals designed for extreme temperatures – down to -270°C (for use with LNG, liquid nitrogen, liquid hydrogen, and liquid helium), as well as high temperatures of up to +1100°C. They are also suitable for extremely high pressures of up to 680 MPa, and offer excellent corrosion resistance. We provide both dynamic and static seals; the dynamic seals can handle speeds of up to 40 m/s (or even higher). For more information, please contact 18678860293 via VX
