How to check the installation quality of trays? Which parts and parameters need to be checked?
I think the main things to check are the levelness, as well as the heights of the downcomer and overflow weir, and the vertical distance between the tray levels. It’s sufficient to carry out inspections in strict accordance with the requirements specified in the drawings. All these dimensions are very important, as they play a significant role in the subsequent operational performance of the equipment.
Inspection and acceptance shall be carried out in accordance with the standard GB/T1205-2001 \"Technical Requirements for Tray Sheets\".
Proceed in accordance with the dimensions specified in the drawings and the technical requirements. The levelness can be measured using rubber hoses, and a record sheet must be prepared with all the relevant details filled in!
It’s mainly about the levelness of the tray, but there’s one issue I haven’t quite understood: if the support ring itself isn’t level, how can the levelness of the tray be adjusted? Is it by adding shims to the support ring?
Using shims is also an option; I think the key is to exercise strict control at various stages. During the manufacturing and welding of the tower’s internal components, errors should be minimized as much as possible, which will make installation easier later on.
