Problems with socket weld pipe fittings

For socket-welded pipe fittings of DN40 and below, two dimensions are specified in the standard connection dimensions for such fittings. For example, in a DN40 socket-welded tee, the diagram shows two distances between the centers of the sockets; I’m not quite sure what each of these distances means Thank you!

If I’m reading your question correctly, the distance between the center of the socket and spigot refers, on one hand, to the outer diameter of the pipe that is to be welded to it, and on the other hand, to the inner diameter of the socket. The inner diameter of the socket should be about 1 mm larger than the outer diameter of the pipe; otherwise, it won’t fit in
Hehe, by the center I’m referring to is the center of the connecting branch pipe. Distance refers to the distance between the center of the branch pipe and the socket.
