While driving, the temperature in the vacuum flash tank was high; the inlet and outlet temperatures of the heat exchanger were both at 100 degrees. I stopped the vacuum pump, started it again, and things returned to normal. Circulating water is available. Is it because the vacuum pump isn’t turned on properly?
What is the vacuum level of the vacuum flash tank?
At this point, there is no vacuum at all; it has become positive pressure. However, the vacuum level rose immediately after the pump was restarted.
Is the heat exchanger working? The inlet and outlet temperatures remain unchanged; think about what could be the reason?
The inlet valve is open. However, the acid gas heat exchanger has circulating water, and there is a temperature difference between the inlet and outlet. What about the pressure at 0.2 at the circulating water inlet? At that time, it was shown to the people on site at the control room; it was said that there was one. Is there no circulating water? Could it be that the vacuum pump isn’t operating properly, which results in no temperature difference between the inlet and outlet?
From what you’ve described, it seems that a vacuum wasn’t created; when the machine was started up again, a vacuum did form. I think it’s due to valves in the vacuum system not being in their proper position.
At first, the valve of system B was not closed properly; even after it was closed, there was still no negative pressure. It was only after shutting down that negative pressure appeared when the system was turned back on.
It’s likely that the vacuum pump is not working properly
The pump hasn’t been replaced; it’s still the original one. Also, the personnel on site confirmed that there was circulating water in the vacuum pump heat exchanger, and that the liquid level of the water added to the vacuum pump was normal as well.
In the future, close the outlet valve when starting the vacuum pump; opening it after the pump has started will prevent this issue from occurring again
