The flow rate for alkali regeneration is 1300 L/H, with 14 M3 of pure water used per cycle, and the duration is 90 minutes. The acid concentration after mixing, according to my calculations, is: 31% × 3/14.6 = 6.3%. The alkalinity concentration after mixing, as per my calculations, is: 32% × 1.3/15.3 = 2.7%. I read in some documents that the desired acid concentration after mixing is 5%, and the desired alkalinity concentration is 4%. It depends on the process used; with Asahi Glass’s process, 4% acid and 5% alkali are used, resulting in good regeneration efficiency, but the regeneration steps are complicated; The Asahi Kasei process uses 7% acid and 4% alkali, with a simple regeneration step.
