Our catalytic unit uses a desulfurization catalyst that can reduce the sulfur content from over 1,000 PPM to 600–700 PPM. What kind of catalysts do other companies use for catalysis?
The quality of domestic catalysts for desulfurization is not very good. CNPC simply cannot produce them, while Sinopec does have such products, but their performance is average. It is recommended to use DAVISON from the United States. Among domestically produced FCC catalysts, those for heavy oil cracking perform better than foreign ones, while the low-carbon olefin series are on par with foreign levels. In the field of clean fuels, reducing olefins in gasoline is also a promising approach, but there have been no breakthroughs in sulfur transfer methods from a research perspective.
