I need to build a steam generator now, but I don’t know how to do the calculations. Could someone help me with that? I am extremely grateful! The specific parameters are as follows: The medium used is heat transfer oil, the pressure is 0.7 Mpa, the inlet temperature is 170 degrees, and the outlet temperature is 155 degrees ; Shell side: The inlet is water, and the outlet is steam. The inlet temperature is 50 degrees, while the outlet should produce steam at a pressure of 0.3 Mpa. I’ve checked that the saturation temperature corresponding to 0.3 Mpa is 143 degrees, so the outlet temperature should be 143 degrees. Additionally, the power of the steam at the outlet is required to be 230 KW. Now I want to determine the heat exchange area of the heat exchanger; I estimated it to be 25 square meters, but I think that’s incorrect. Could someone please help me verify this value? A U-tube heat exchanger is planned to be used, with a vertical installation configuration.
Heat exchanger calculation software: htri and htfs are foreign-developed. \"Heat Exchanger Master\" is a domestic Chinese software that is also very good. It can be downloaded from http://www.htcsoft.com; since it is a trial version, its functions are somewhat limited.

This inlet flow rate can indeed be calculated based on the specified power; the key factor is the heat transfer coefficient. It is necessary to first determine a set of structural parameters, calculate the heat transfer coefficients for the shell side and the tube side, and finally verify the heat exchange area.
If this steam generator is installed vertically, a circulation pipe needs to be installed outside; otherwise, the heat transfer coefficient will not be very high. The flow rate in the pipe must be sufficient; otherwise, the heat transfer coefficient cannot increase either.

It is preferable for oil to flow through the shell side and water to flow through the tube side; there should be circulation pipes, and the length of the heat exchange tubes should be at least 2 meters.
