Does the instrument cable tray need to be grounded? What is the grounding method on site?
It’s necessary to connect it directly to the device’s grounding system; this is separate from the grounding used for instrument shielding
The instrument cable tray needs to be grounded; when grounding on-site, it can be connected directly to the grounding grid.
Use a grounding wire to bridge two adjacent cable trays, and then lead it to the main grounding grid.
It doesn’t matter if they’re not connected since they’re already installed on the steel structure; the rest can be connected to the nearby electrical grounding grid after being bridged together.
Under normal circumstances, a grounding point should be installed every 30 meters; therefore, it is almost impossible to connect everything to a main grounding network. As a result, grounding is often done on-site, with the only requirement being that the grounding resistance not be too high.
Then how do we ground a fiberglass bridge tray?
Cable tray grounding mainly refers to steel cable trays and aluminum alloy cable trays. Since fiberglass cable trays are insulated, they do not require grounding. When grounding, a grounding point is required every 30 meters, and grounding should be carried out at the nearest location.
I’m not sure about that. Is grounding necessary? Where is your cable tray connected to? ? ? ? ? ? You can treat the cable tray as ground; no additional grounding is needed, as it’s already grounded.
