During production, there is a leak in the hydrogen chloride pipeline; it is an UPVC pipeline under a pressure of 20–30 kPa. What is the appropriate method to repair this leak?

I have sealed pipes with a pressure of 12KPa; I wrapped the area around the leak site with polytetrafluoroethylene tape, then covered it with acid-resistant adhesive sheeting and tied it all together with iron wire. Once the leak stopped emitting smoke, I applied epoxy resin in over a dozen layers – it has been in use for three months now with no signs of any problems.
For sealing leaks in hydrogen chloride pipelines under pressure, an emergency repair can be carried out using a \"magic wand\" at the leak site; afterward, a thin layer of rubber is applied over it and secured with clamps; It is also possible to use expanded tetrafluoroethylene to seal the leak site, with a thin layer of rubber applied on top. Then wrap it tightly with duct tape, and finally cover it with epoxy glass fiber cloth.
If it’s a flange leak and the gasket leak cannot be eliminated, then it becomes very difficult to handle.
If there is a leak at the flange, the system needs to be stopped for replacement and subsequent processing. For normal leaks in the pipes, I think it’s better to proceed with treatment while the system is still under pressure, but one should be careful; wrap the area first and then use clamps! It must be dealt with during maintenance!
