I believe that in ammonia-alkali process manufacturing plants, using electric dust removal for furnace gas is not very useful. Not to mention the high investment required, it is also unnecessary to implement such a method, as the furnace gas undergoes four stages of cleaning – spraying in an alkali solution tower, heat exchange in a mother liquor tower, condensation in a condenser tower, and washing in a scrubber tower – after which the dust content in the gas is virtually eliminated. Years of maintenance work on the furnace gas pipelines have shown that these pipelines are mostly filled with ammonium salt crystals, with no traces of alkali deposits found.
