I would like to ask those with experience in operating plants: can the purging gas pass through the tower during purging?
It is not permitted in principle, depending on the conditions of the tower
Blow out in segments; it’s possible to do so once the previous section has been blown out
No, temporary blind plates cannot be installed in front of important flanges.
First, a blind flange must be installed at the front of the equipment; once the pipelines have been purged, the equipment can be purged as well

This post was last edited by huchsh on 2010-3-4 08:20. It depends on the situation; it’s possible if there are no trays or packing inside the tower. However, to prevent impurities from entering the tower and still need to be cleaned later, it’s better to perform purging at the inlet as before
