I have a question: I don’t quite understand the meaning of a certain sentence in the heat exchanger specifications. Thank you. If the layout plan and plot plan are provided by the Purchaser, the corresponding dimensions must be followed, and a statement to that effect shall be included in the proposal. If the Purchaser provides the assembly drawings, then the various dimensions should be attached to the bid prepared for this purpose. Dimensions should refer to various sizes, that is, the dimensions of different parts of the device. to this effect means with this intention; it is a prepositional phrase used for this purpose. FYI..
Dimensions: For devices, there is more than one dimension (length, width, height, etc.). If it is necessary to convey the plural meaning, it refers to all these various dimensions. ___________________________FYI
I asked the senior engineer; the term for dimensions should be “drawing dimensions”.
“To this (that/the same) effect” means the same thing as ‘this/that/same’. Examples: 1. He called me a fool, or words to that effect. He called me stupid, or similar words. 2. I don’t remember his precise words, but he did say something to that effect. I can’t recall his exact words, but he certainly expressed something along those lines. If the assembly drawings and layout drawings are provided by the buyer, their dimensions and relevant specifications should be included in the quotation (bid). Agree with echo(being busy....)!

The W version includes a lot more translations, which is a good deal; but in terms of accuracy, it’s better to go with Master Echo’s version.
