In the factory, the oil level viewports of many pump bearing housings are easily covered by lubricating oil on their inner surfaces; as a result, staff cannot see the oil level clearly during inspections, which can lead to low oil levels and subsequent bearing damage. OP, what you mean is: a constant-level oil cup, that is, an automatic oil-refilling vacuum oil cup. Always maintain a constant level of lubricating oil in the bearing housing. Don’t most centrifugal pumps these days come equipped with such oil cups? It’s possible to modify them, and the user can conduct experiments to determine the appropriate level of oil. As long as the liquid level in the bearing box window is below 1/3, the oil cup will automatically top up the oil.

It is recommended to consult the original pump manufacturer first, as I have seen cases where the oil filling cup leaked oil; upon inspection, it was found that the position of the opening in the cup was incorrect. If the position is wrong, the oil in the filling cup will flow into the lubrication chamber, causing the liquid level to rise above that of the bearings and resulting in oil leakage.
The position of the oil cup is crucial; if it is too high, all the oil will flow into the bearing housing, and if it is too low, it won’t serve any purpose in replenishing oil. The oil cup can be purchased directly from the manufacturer; its installation position should be at the same level as the bottom of the oil sight glass, and it can be installed directly on one of the sight glasses.

After making the changes, it’s not guaranteed that the oil cup will work properly; I’m not sure. Moreover, the original pumps do not have any openings designed for installing oil cups; if an oil cup is to be installed, either the existing sight glass opening must be replaced (with a shorting), or new holes must be drilled in the bearing housing.
