316 will be a bit better, but neither of them can be used!
Austenitic stainless steel cannot be used; duplex steel or titanium can be chosen. Carbon steel is also an option if there is reliable corrosion monitoring and anti-corrosion systems in place
The Ullig manual states that duplex stainless steel contains 50% ferrite, and it becomes highly susceptible to brittle fracture at around 475 degrees; this brittle fracture occurs due to the transformation of ferrite in the temperature range of 375–500 degrees. The degree of brittle fracture is determined by the alloy composition and the time spent in the critical temperature range. Due to the risk of brittle fracture, duplex stainless steel is not recommended for use in equipment with design temperatures above about 300 degrees.
If the solution is weakly alkaline and contains 1000 ppm of chloride ions, can 304 and 316 grades be used over a long period at 350°C? ?
If there are chloride ions present, neither of them can be used; it’s better to use duplex steel or titanium. 1# ZC736
Austenitic stainless steels of the 300 series should especially not be used in environments with chloride ions; I think carbon steel would be a better choice

Titanium material is better, but it’s expensive
It’s better to use TA9 or TA10. Cl corrodes stainless steel quite strongly!
