When customers use it, some sticky substances will be generated during the heating and vaporization process of liquid chlorine to block the pipes. Many customers have reported this situation, but we do not block the pipes during packaging (the pipes are smaller). After our analysis, the problem may be in the chlorine liquefaction process, because the heat exchange tube of one of our liquefiers has been inspected for perforation. What I want to ask here is, what is the sticky substance? Could it be caused by R22 entering the liquid chlorine? Under what conditions will chlorine gas and R22 react and what will be produced? If it is not caused by R22 entering liquid chlorine, what are the possible reasons?

R22 will not react with liquid chlorine. It should be that the oil in R22 enters the liquid chlorine system and reacts with chlorine to form a mixture of halogenated hydrocarbons and non-hydrocarbon substances in the oil, because if it is all non-hydrocarbon substances, the amount should not be as large as the author described.
