Can those who are not involved in design apply to become registered chemical engineers?
Companies engaged in engineering, supervision, or auditing are eligible, but those involved in production are not.
It probably won’t work; the application requirements specify that one needs several years of relevant work experience
It should be possible, but one needs to master the relevant knowledge and standards of chemical engineering design; otherwise, it will be impossible to pass the professional exam. Moreover, when applying, one is required to provide work experience related to chemical engineering design (such as technical upgrades, capacity expansions, facility enhancements, etc.). In reality, the actual job duties may not necessarily involve chemical engineering design; aside from design institutes, how many positions in chemical companies are actually involved in chemical engineering design? Do businesses no longer need to get registered?
If you’re not going to do design, there’s no need to take this exam; you can take other exams instead
