May I ask, how should Article 3.4.1, Note 3 of the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings be understood: when the outer wall on the higher side of two adjacent factories serves as a fire wall, there is no limit on the required fire separation distance?
For the walls of two adjacent buildings, it is sufficient to meet the building codes as long as the exterior wall of either building serves as a fire wall and is at a higher height than the exterior wall of the adjacent building!
The minimum height for Class A factories is 4 meters!
We have a factory-style building; on one side is a warehouse and on the other side is the production workshop – they are right next to each other
The correct answer for the second floor is that it is mainly to take into account the possibility that a fire in the lower warehouse could spread to the higher ones; therefore, the higher warehouses should be equipped with firewalls, otherwise this requirement cannot be met
