TSG D0001-2009 Code for Safety Inspection of Pressure Piping – Industrial Piping: Carbon steel specified in GB/T9711.1-1997 and GB/T8163-2008 cannot be used for GC1 class piping. Originally, GA and GB pipelines had nothing to do with this regulation, but the pipelines within a facility are usually classified as GC, which creates a problem: for example, many of the pipelines in the process unit area are made of 20# seamless steel pipes designated as 8163, and according to TSG D0001-2009, such pipes cannot be used ; Similarly, if the inlet and outlet pipes are made of Grade A steel as specified in GB/T9711.1, they cannot be used after the material enters the system ; There are also the small-diameter high-pressure vent pipes inside the station; in the past, many of these were made from 20# seamless steel pipes of type 8163. Is it no longer possible to use those either? Should everything be changed to GB 9948 or GB6479 seamless pipes, or should alloy steel Q345 be used for all of them, regardless of their diameter? Can’t A-grade pipeline steel be used anymore either? Does it have to be completely replaced with B-grade pipeline steel? I really can’t figure it out. Please give me some advice!

Natural gas is GC2, not GC1; 8163 can be used
When the pressure is high, it is GC1 (4.0 MPa), and 6479 should be used
