However, for the analysis of boiler water, because the temperature of the water is high and the purity of the water is also high, the sample needs to be cooled down, and a pH probe used for pure water measurement should be used for detection. This kind of detection is better with an online analyzer, but there are too many influencing factors for sampling analysis.
Temperature should have little effect. Does the pH meter have temperature compensation?
We have also encountered the same problem. If the temperature is ten degrees higher, the pH value will drop by about 0.3. We have not yet found a solution. I don’t understand the reason yet, I hope experts in water analysis can give me answers.
Most pH electrodes have operating temperature limits, which are generally not higher than 80C. Some can reach 110C. If the electrode allows, the effect of temperature on pH can basically be eliminated through temperature compensation.
