Dear friends in the industry, let’s discuss the considerations for selecting 10KV high-voltage power cables. Is there any difference between using such cables underground or in cable trays?
We have a 10KV motor here; the cables run partly through cable trays and partly in trenches, as the power distribution room is quite far away from the pump, so most of the cables use cable trays!
Is there any difference between 10KV high-voltage power cables installed underground and those installed in cable trays?
Use a buried casing, right? It seems there are no special requirements for cable trays, but the selection still depends on the surrounding environment, as well as the current level and cable length
Either one is fine, depending on the on-site requirements. Cable trays are generally used inside factories; outside factories, they are usually buried directly or laid along cable trenches. In areas prone to mechanical damage, they need to be protected by conduits
