Replacement of biconical ring gaskets

One of the equipment units in our factory has an access hole with a diameter of 2000, and the pressure operating at that level is between 7 and 8 Mpa. The sealing mechanism for this access hole is of the double-cone ring type. The gasket for the biconical ring is a 0.5mm flexible graphite gasket. What I want to ask is how is this kind of flexible graphite gasket processed? What should be considered when installing gaskets?
2000? With such a large manhole and such high pressure, how thick does the manhole cover need to be?
Is this ridiculous? How can a gasket for a double-cone ring use a 0.5mm thick flexible graphite gasket? It will break just from being pressed! The material should be soft metals such as aluminum or copper. I don’t think there are any special requirements; what’s important is that the thickness is uniform and the surface quality is good, and it can be formed by pressing an entire ring (rather than one made by welding together pieces).
This is the design provided by the design institute: the double-cone ring is made of steel, with a layer of gasket on top, and this gasket is made of flexible graphite.
Use segmented flexible graphite gaskets, make the joints at a 45° angle, and ensure a tight fit.
