Common problems encountered during the sulfidation process include the following: 1. The bed temperature fails to rise, especially during the intensification phase; Reason: a. Insufficient circuit power ; Treatment: Increase the circuit power as much as possible ; b. Insufficient amount of hydrogen sulfide, preventing the bed temperature from rising ; Treatment: Increase the amount of hydrogen sulfide as long as the circuit power permits ; 2. The bed temperature rises gradually. Reason: a. High oxygen content in sulfurized gases ; Action: Notify the scheduling department and gas production team to check the furnace conditions, and appropriately reduce the power of the electric furnace as well as the amount of carbon disulfide added. If the oxygen level is too high, it is necessary to shut down the furnace ; b. Excess carbon disulfide is added ; Treatment: Add carbon disulfide strictly in accordance with regulations, and enhance inspections ; c. Carbon disulfide was added too early ; Treatment: Carbon disulfide addition can be temporarily suspended; the air flow rate can be increased depending on the temperature of the bed layer to remove heat ; d. Carbon disulfide was added too late, resulting in a reduction reaction of cobalt oxide ; Treatment: Stop adding carbon disulfide, lower the temperature to around 150-200 degrees before adding carbon disulfide again ; 3. System air supply interrupted ; Treatment: Shut down the furnace, stop the use of carbon disulfide, and close the vent.
