Who currently supplies the methanation catalysts for SNG?
David can provide methanation catalysts
Both David and Topsoo can provide it
As far as I know, there’s also the originator BASF
It seems that Luchi Company also has technology in this area
There are domestic options such as those from the Southwest Chemical Industry Research and Design Institute ~

BASF no longer produces SNG methanation catalysts; its catalyst model is G1-85
It’s not David; it should be the catalyst from JMC. JMC combines BG’s methanation catalyst, which is primarily used for sulfur-resistant methanation in city gas, with a catalyst based on nickel that is currently being used in China; nickel-based catalysts are not resistant to sulfur. Its nickel-based catalyst CRG-LH was also used on the Great Plains, but its operating time was far shorter than that of the original BASF methanation catalyst. CRG technology was originally developed by British Gas (BG) in the late 1960s and early 1970s; naphtha and steam pass through an adiabatic CRG catalyst bed, where the naphtha is converted at low temperatures to produce a methane-rich gas. Therefore, it is different from the syngas-based SNG production currently used in China. Topso’s catalysts have not been tested in industrial production, and the several so-called achievements in the methanation industry actually none of them have been realized; it’s all just empty talk and deception.
