What I mean is, knowing values such as the amount of steam produced by the refinery and the amount of deaerated water, how is the condensate recovery rate calculated?
Condensate recovery rate: The percentage of condensed water recovered relative to the amount of gas supplied.
It can be roughly calculated in the following way. The evaporation rate of the boiler is used as the denominator, while the amount of condensed water returned is used as the numerator; dividing these two values gives the recovery rate of the condensed water.
So how is the water return volume calculated? Hehe, beginners know absolutely nothing about utility systems!
A flow meter can be installed on the return water bus to accumulate the flow volume. For accurate measurement, a water tank can be installed to calculate the water volume based on the liquid level.

The condensate that can generally be recovered comes from the heat tracing and heating steam used for pipelines and oils. A drain valve is installed at each point where fluid is recovered from a branch line; these branches eventually return to the main collection pipe, a flow meter is placed on this main pipe, and finally a water storage tank is installed. Since the temperature of the condensed water is high, if it is sent directly back to the storage tank, it will generate waste steam and result in heat loss. Therefore, we first use this high-temperature condensed water to heat some of the oil products, reducing their temperature to below 50 degrees before sending them back to the tank. The amount of water required is determined based on the use of heat tracing and heating, as well as the settings of the steam traps.
