Seeking help with CS3000 data export issues

The CS3000 DCS system in the factory needs to be upgraded, and a company was hired for this task. The quotation provided by that company included the following items: What exactly are the data communication cables and data conversion interfaces mentioned in those items? Is a data communication cable the same as an Ethernet cable? Is the data conversion interface the OPC driver? But we don’t need eight sets, right? There are 3 operator stations on site, 1 engineer station, and 1 field control station. 6 Others: Floppy drive, 3-inch – 1; Data communication cable – 1; Data protection and backup storage, 160G – 1; Data conversion interface – 8

It’s best to ask that company whether the CS3000 DCS system needs to be upgraded in terms of the FCS as well, or only the HIS. As far as I know, the 3-inch floppy drive may not be necessary; it’s not very valuable anyway. If it’s just a problem with exporting data from the CS3000 system, then simply copy the folders from c:\cs3000\eng\bkproject\. Also, if the CS3000 DCS system needs to be upgraded, why not contact Yokogawa directly?
FCS uses RIO, and there are concerns regarding the discontinuation of spare parts, as this system was put into use in 2002. Yokogawa promised that spare parts would be available for 10 to 15 years; if production comes to an end after 5 years, the DCS system could become unusable. If the FCS is upgraded now, only the latest EIO method can be used, but this would involve a huge amount of work, equivalent to rebuilding the entire previous system from scratch. Isn’t it a bit more expensive to go straight to Yokogawa?
Does the data conversion interface 8 refer to V-NET’s interface? If so, it would be 8. Both the operator station and the engineer station have a V-network interface
I suspect it’s not the so-called V-NET interface; what is the connection between directly exporting data and the V-Net interface? Can’t you just export it directly?
