In the water circulation pipeline, an alarm is set for the differential pressure at both ends of the Y-filter. May I ask what value in MPa should be set as the high alarm threshold?
The Y-filter is generally installed in the pump inlet pipeline to protect the pump. A more precise filter is generally used at the pump outlet. It would be best to provide detailed operating conditions. Since each household’s situation is different, our recirculating water system uses deionized water; therefore, filters are not needed at all. Nor is there any concern regarding issues such as scaling or sludge buildup in the heat exchangers.
The differential pressure alarm is primarily used to determine whether the filtering material has blocked the pipeline; the set point for this alarm is related to the temperature of the fluid flowing in the pipeline
It is used at the cooling water inlet to the compressor packing, with a temperature of 32 degrees. It is softened water.
As far as I know, the upper limit pressure difference for most filters is 100 KPa.
With softened water, there is basically no need to worry about clogging issues; the Y filter here serves to prevent the entry of foreign substances. A pressure alarm switch can be installed before the packing is inserted to prevent damage to the packing caused by an accidental shutdown of the cooling water pump or by the accidental closure of the valves in the cooling water circuit.
