Personally, I don’t see any difference. Please give a specific example; it’s hard to tell just from the words alone
The specimens are manufactured from test plates; one test plate can be used to produce N specimens. These specimens are used for various tests such as bending (side bending, back bending, etc.), tensioning, etc
The pattern is designed for a specific material test, while the test piece is generally used as the base material from which the pattern is taken.
Test plates are welded together to form test specimens, which are then divided into samples for joint testing.
