Can DN50 pipes be directly drilled and welded to guide shower? The working pressure is a bit high, more than 1MPa. Is it necessary to use a tee? Thank you for your enlightenment
I don’t know what kind of pipe you have, but generally the pressure of 1MP does not need to be connected to a tee.
It's better to have a tee, but it doesn't matter if you don't have one. Just open the hole and weld it.
1MPa is usually opened directly and connected with a half-pipe joint.
It should be possible. If the poster is worried, you can test it if possible!

There is a Straub pipe joint that does not require welding on DN50 pipes. See http://www.straub.ch/upload/straub/files/Flyer_OPEN-FLEX-GT_0909_e.pdf I am not a salesman, but I have used our products quite well for reference.
There is not much pressure, you can speak directly； Of course, it would be safer if there is a pipe connection or tee!
