Tower diameter and height affect product purity

Our factory produces pure hexane; currently its purity can only reach around 75, and it requires a high amount of energy. Do the tower’s crude product level and height have a significant impact on the quality of the product?
I believe that what affects product purity are the reflux rate and tower height； The tower diameter determines the production capacity.
If the heating and cooling capabilities are insufficient, a too-thick tower will **reduce the separation efficiency, and high-purity gas cannot be obtained**
I agree with ls; we have encountered similar situations as well – an unreasonably large tower diameter can lead to a decrease in product purity. As for the tower height, I personally think it is also related to your heating capacity – it’s not the case that the higher it is, the better.
