Is there a cooling process in the production process of coal tar asphalt? I rely on you all, seniors, for your guidance.

One project I am familiar with is Shandong Daon’s coal tar asphalt project; I would like to know whether such a process makes use of waste heat, as well as what the requirements are in terms of refrigeration and cooling.
Asphalt is a product of the further processing of coal tar. The asphalt that comes out of the secondary evaporator is very hot, and it is usually cooled using circulating water; however, this heat is not utilized much, and no processes for doing so have been heard of. If this bit of asphalt is used to make modified asphalt, it represents another processing step; it’s not clear which process the original poster is referring to.

I’m not sure whether the poster is referring to cooling asphalt to a solid state or to utilizing the heat from asphalt; if it’s the latter, then heat exchange with the raw material or some other component would be sufficient
