This post was last edited by wei8jun on 2010-3-22 at 10:09. I ran the compressor simulation twice; all the settings were correct, but the results were incorrect – it’s frustrating. The components I used in the simulation contained no water. I don’t know how to set things up properly. I hope someone can share a simulation example with me so I can figure out where the problem lies. Thank you!

It’s hydrogen and hydrogen chloride, with a small amount of trichlorosilane as well; no results are obtained!
Be sure to attach the simulation files next time; it’s difficult to give you a proper answer. It’s likely related to your component settings or compressor settings – just because everything turns blue doesn’t mean it’s satisfactory.
I think the problem with LZ lies in the fact that the fluid to be compressed is entirely in gas phase, but in reality, a certain amount of liquid phase is present after operation. However, the compressor model assumes that the vapor fraction of the fluid being compressed is 1. If this is indeed the issue, try making the following adjustments to see if it resolves the problem: 1. Click on \"Model\"--\"Convergence\"; 2. Under \"Valid Phases\", select \"Vapor-Liquid\"
There are two reasons: 1. As mentioned on floor 5, when compression occurs with liquid present, the valid phase should be selected as vapor-liquid; 2. Change the calculation method and perform calculations using isentropic and polytropic approaches respectively; once the calculations are successful, switch back to the originally selected method.
