Selection of boiler exhaust fans

Dear colleagues: A desulfurization unit has been installed on one of our company’s 4 T/H coal-fired boilers, which has resulted in a decline in the exhaust air extraction efficiency. The original exhaust fan had a power rating of 22 KW. I’m not sure what size exhaust fan to choose; I would appreciate everyone’s advice. Thank you!

Reply to 1# qyj: The approach should be as follows: 4 T/H represents the steam output; the required amount of coal can be determined by conducting a material balance and heat balance analysis. Based on data such as the type of coal, its volatile matter, fixed carbon, and total sulfur content, along with the air excess factor, the volume of flue gas can be calculated. With the volume of flue gas and the pipeline layout known, the pipeline resistance can be determined, from which the total pressure required by the fan can be calculated. Finally, the fan model and the motor power required can be selected based on the total fan pressure, flow rate, and operating conditions
