Problems with high-pressure separators in crude benzene refining

I’ve looked up some information; some sources say that a high-pressure separator is a three-port flash tank, while others refer to it as a distillation tower. I tend to agree with the first view. I’d appreciate it if those with engineering experience could help me out. Most importantly, I want to know the process parameters of a high-pressure separator, such as temperature and pressure. I’m very grateful! !

The function of a separator is to separate gas and liquid phases of high-temperature, high-pressure gases after partial condensation in the condenser; it is a vessel in which this separation takes place. Its operating temperature and pressure are determined by the process medium and parameters. Therefore, it is an empty container equipped with inlet and outlet pipes, a level gauge, a vent pipe, and other connections.
