I need to evacuate a tank truck using a vacuum pump, with a required vacuum level of -0.95. What kind of vacuum pump is suitable for this task? Can a water ring pump or a reciprocating single-stage pump achieve this level of vacuum? Is it necessary to use a rotary vane pump as part of a system to accomplish this? I would appreciate some advice from those who know more about this
LPG tankers cannot be completely emptied in theory; it is better to use nitrogen for displacement.
Rotary vane pumps definitely won’t work; they certainly cannot achieve a vacuum level of 0.95. The reciprocating type isn’t very useful either; its efficiency is too low. A water ring type will work, but it cannot guarantee that no moisture will get in. But I don’t know why vacuum needs to be applied to your liquefied gas? LPG cylinders are generally not large, so it is more appropriate to use a small medical or pharmaceutical vacuum pump. . . Those vacuum pumps are more expensive. . .
