When using steam to heat the reboiler, encounter accidents such as power outages. If the steam regulating valve cannot be closed in time, water hammer will occur. How do you avoid it in terms of equipment and operation?

The steam regulating valve is air-opened. If we encounter the situation you mentioned, on-site adjustment of the manual valve and bypass is the key. Should we also open the condensate drain to drain the water?
Close the upstream and downstream valves and open the air drain! ! !
We have strengthened our emergency response plan and will close the regulating valve as soon as possible and add a steam trap to the pipeline. However, because the valve has internal leakage, water hammer still inevitably occurs. If it closes a little too slowly, the vibration will cause the device to be dismantled. :L
