Which manufacturer produces the best catalysts for methanol synthesis? Please specify the usage details
Southern Chemical, C307 – used a lot!
We used Nanhua Institute’s C307 three times: the first time it worked well, the second time it performed very poorly. The current version is average; the main issue is its high ethanol content
We have not used any other manufacturers’ products; we are not sure if anyone is aware that the catalysts produced by those companies can keep the ethanol content in crude methanol below 800 PPM
Nanhua, but there are many departments within Nanhua; in the past there were research institutes, catalyst factories, etc., so be careful with your choice.
At present, the best synthetic catalyst available in China is XNC-98, produced by the Luzhou branch of Sichuan Tianyi Technology Co., Ltd. The largest methanol production facility in China, with a capacity of 1 million tons per year, has already adopted XNC-98. This catalyst was sent abroad for testing, and operation is expected to begin at the end of April. There are also two other facilities with a capacity of 600,000 tons each; one of them, operated by New Ao De, is already in use and performing quite well.
