Do newly purchased laboratory measuring tools (balances, measuring cylinders, pipettes, etc.) need to be certified and certified for the unit of measurement? Does anyone have any experience in this area?
In theory, they are all required, but in actual work, it is not necessary to calibrate a newly purchased balance, or to use burettes, pipettes, etc. that do not have strict requirements.

I don’t know anything else, but it seems that the balance must be calibrated every year by the measurement supervision unit. If the two parties do sample weighing in the future, the calibration certificate of the balance will be useful, which can prove that your balance has been calibrated by the technical unit and is accurate.
The balance must be calibrated. We calibrate other pipettes and the like according to the standards ourselves without issuing certificates.
Generally, glass instruments used for intermediate product inspection do not need to be inspected, while instruments used for factory products require regular inspection.
