Is the Professional English Test useful? It seems pointless for everyone to speak their minds; even though I passed the Level A exam. Now, professional title exams have become an industry; abolishing them would harm the interests of some people.
What the original poster said is absolutely correct; this is indeed characteristic of China
I don’t think it’s very useful, but at least I have the necessary books. The cost of English courses is relatively low, while computer-related courses are quite expensive

In fact, it’s not just professional English; we **have placed English at an unwarranted level of importance. Is it necessary for all the one billion-plus people in China to learn English? English is just a tool; everyone with certain strengths can make use of it. Looking at it the other way around, our Chinese language education these days, in terms of writing skills, alas!
I didn’t buy any textbooks for English; I found some materials to study from. It was quite fast to develop a sense for the language and to work on exercises. However, I felt that computers were really useless – they followed such mechanical rules, and the software versions were so old that they were completely ineffective
I just took the English test for professional titles; it’s really harmful, as the relevant authorities are only out to make money! !
I think it’s still useful; it serves as a reminder for everyone, after all, English is being used more and more widely these days
I just took the English professional qualification exam as well; I doubt I’ll pass it. I hate this practice in China – it’s hardly useful in actual work or daily life. There’s nothing to do about it – it’s part of China’s characteristics.
