Temperature crossovers often occur during simulation, but I’ve never really understood what they are Please give some explanation. Also, if temperature crossovers occur, what aspects should be considered to address them? Why does temperature crossover occur?
This is something that often comes up when designing heat exchangers. Temperature crossover may result from the hot and cold streams being reversed, or it could be due to overly stringent design requirements that cannot be met, such as a cooling temperature set too low. Everyone shared their opinions.
Crossing occurs, and such heat exchange efficiency cannot be achieved. For example, the temperature of the hot flow after cooling is lower than the temperature at the inlet of the cold flow, or the temperature of the cold flow after heating is higher than the temperature at the inlet of the hot flow. Change the temperature specification or reduce the heat transfer load.
It might be caused by an unreasonable setting of the temperature.
