May I ask under what circumstances do centrifugal pumps have a return line, and when don’t they? Moreover, it was found that the connection points of some return pipelines to the container were also different.

Generally, centrifugal pumps require a return line to protect them by ensuring that they operate at all times at a flow rate above their minimum level; it also prevents the pump inlet from getting blocked and causing pressure buildup within the pump, thereby providing an alternative flow path. :)
Generally, non-inverter pumps that operate for long periods require a return line
It is recommended to use constant-pressure variable-frequency technology in this case, as installing return pipelines results in obvious energy waste.
