What are the reasons for overheating at the top of the medium-pressure absorption tower?
The reason for the overheating at the top of the first absorption tower is that the CO2 absorption efficiency in the bubbling section of this tower is poor; as a result, the CO2 content in the rising gas increases, which raises the washing load in the purification section. Additionally, the methamine formation reaction shifts to higher temperatures, and the heat generated by this reaction causes the temperature to rise gradually. If the liquid level control in a suction tower is set too high, causing the purging gas to carry methamine liquid, it can also lead to overheating in the upper section.
There are many reasons for overpressure. 1. The medium-pressure is too high. 2. The ammonia water pump does not deliver enough flow or the flow is insufficient, failing to maintain normal absorption in the final washing stage. 3. The ammonia control valves at the top and bottom are stuck or the amount added is insufficient, causing carbon dioxide to rise upward. 4. The liquid level in the medium-pressure absorption tower is too high. 5. The liquid level in the absorption tower is too low. 6. Excessive load or poor condensation performance of the external cooler in the medium-pressure absorption tower results in an excessive thermal load on the absorption tower. 7. The evaporation vacuum is too low, or the feed rate decreases suddenly without corresponding adjustments. 8. Overheating occurs due to an abrupt increase in medium-pressure load caused by air leakage in the high-pressure system or a failure of the synthesis valve.
