During the RO process, how should proteins be removed if they are present?

Everyone: We’re facing another problem. In reverse osmosis treatment, when proteins are present in the water, what should be added to remove them without affecting the membrane? What medication should be used? And what else should be taken into consideration?
What kind of protein is it? It would be best to remove it during preprocessing; if its molecular weight is high, ultrafiltration can be used, and if it’s low, would carbon adsorption be necessary? I’m just throwing out a brick here; I’m waiting for the insights from experts! ! !
