I want to know if the inlet and outlet of the oil tank come with flanges Are the flanges purchased based on the pipe diameters designed by our own designers?
I think it should be up to us designers to determine the pipe diameter before making a choice. Personal opinion.
This is a design parameter, related to factors such as the size of the oil tank and the oil transfer rate (pump)! ! ! !
The inlet and outlet are in nozzle form, with a flange, allowing the equipment to be fitted with a flange as desired!
The storage and transportation team determines the pipe diameter based on the flow rate, while the equipment team installs the outlet nozzles using that diameter determined by the storage and transportation team, along with single-piece flanges.
If it’s not a part manufactured through outsourcing, generally one needs to provide the flanges themselves! !
It should come with a flange; just find a matching one
It’s not necessary to match them; it depends on who is responsible for cutting the materials. In our company, it is the piping specialists who handle the matching of flanges.
Generally, the tank comes with one flange, and you just need to purchase another one accordingly based on what the tank already has
It depends on the terms of the equipment manufacturing contract; if nothing is specified, the manufacturer certainly won’t be qualified to do it
Of course, it is the manufacturer or the on-site construction workers who select the appropriate flange type based on the design documents. Since the tank outlet also requires connection to your pipeline, and standard alignment issues are involved, it must be specified by the design institute (such as the flange pressure rating, seal face type, and outer diameter of series A or B pipes).
