Interdisciplinary (Industry) Production Management

Now I have an offer from a foreign company in the shoe manufacturing industry for a position in production management. I’m very confused and frustrated; I have to start everything from scratch. Additionally, I’d like to know what the prospects are for career development in production management Is it possible to switch jobs across industries in the future? How should one plan a career in production management? I ask for your guidance, seniors!
